That's a very interesting theory skin27. Anyone else had the same happen?

I was going to suggest to the OP that if his card is non-UK issued, he may need to speak to his bank so they can allow it to be used -UK friends have had the same problem trying to use their Spanish issued debit cards on Ryanair - but a call to the Spanish bank sorted that.
loads of threads about it on here

Just purchased 4 return flights with a visa electron card - cost 8 quid all in, so if they use the practice described above then it certainly isn't all the time.

I think the problem is that ryanair seem to block Visa Electron cards at certain times, especially when very cheap flights are on offer. That way you pay the fat card fees and therefore more than the cheap advertised prices!!

My Visa Electron card wasn't accepted and then as soon as I put it through as just "Visa" and the charges were added, it was accepted first time!!

    thanks ryanair.

  • Just to let everyone know and save you time looking for it, you have to either call in a branch or ask them to post the application for their Easycash Account. You cannot apply on line for this a/c.
