hi
I am going to have loads of lamb leftover from this lunch as we have ended up with 2.3kg lamb leg for 3 of us:rolleyes:
i am planning on making shepherds pie tomorrow but have never made it with cooked lamb
I have a recipe in Delia but it says minced cooked lamb......i have no mincer.....would it work if I chopped it small or is there a fitting on my food processor which would work on it?
many thanks

Just use your food processor to chop it up. First cut it with a knife into cubes of about 3 cms, then put into the processor, in batches if there is a lot.
Then use the pulse button to chop the meat into small pieces. Don't cut it too finely or you will end up with a paste.0 -
yes am capable of altering recipes thanks, am not a novice.;) it just happens to be one of the few recipes I have never made in my 24 years of cooking.
I think what i was concerned about was using the FP to chop the meat incase I ended up with a paste as the other poster has mentioned.
I think I will just stick to chopping it by hand:D0 -

There's a recipe for this in the latest Asda mag which is free in store, or you can visit www.asdamagazine.co.uk0

I always start by chopping the cooked lamb in my mini-processor. There's no danger of it turning into a mush. It ends up looking like mince.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
