My computer recently would not load up and just kept on rebooting itself...I didnt know what was wrong and it was suggested to me that I put in the Xp reboot and start again, which I did
Now my computer will only let me on-line via the USB port and not the ethernet port.
Is there something simple I;m missing here.I dont understand why it wont recognise the ethernet anymore
I'm on BT broadband and have the homehub
Please Help

You mean you did a fresh installation of windows xp on the machine? If so then you would need to install the ethernet driver, which should be on a disk that came with your computer (or motherboard if you self-built the computer)0

Your computer should have come with a disc of 'drivers' needed for such a case
Install all drivers you can off it
Then goto DEVICE MANAGER and tell us if any of them have YELLOW EXCLAMATION marks next to them:idea:0 -
