Hi all,

I am looking to hire a car to carry 6 people including driver. Basically, myself, my partner and both our parents.

What's the best vehicle to get - not used to driving large vehicles.

What's the best place to get it. I figured that Enterprise might be good as they come and pick you up and drop you off.

Not sure if they're expensive though.

Thanx

  • The Vauzhall Zafira has lots of room and easy to drive. The back back seats can be a bit tight but had six adults in on long journeys.

  • How old are the parents?

I have a Zafira and the two rear seats are only really suitable for children on short journeys.

Better off with something like a Galaxy as they have proper seats in the rear.

Just a tip if you use Enterprise... this weekend we got a hirecar from them because ours was damaged in a crash and the one they gave us had out of date tax on it... just make sure you check... (they told us it was quite ok to drive as the new disc was at headquarters ) Needless to say we didn't drive it as its an offence,, so the car we got has been sat on the drive all weekend useless...

Best people carrier for adults is Chrysler Voyager with sliding doors for easy acess and 4 good seats in the back.

We had a Ford Galaxy from Enterprise (pick up at airport and dropped off at local location the next day) I was designated driver and though I'm not used to driving a big car at all it was very easy and comfortable.
