My mum is flying to Aberdeen from Heathrow (T5) this week. We cant find any informatio on check in times for domestic flights.

Many thanks

I am flying to Glasgow from Terminal 5 this week, and have had exactly the same problem - the T5 website just gaily tels me ""checking in will only take 10 minuites" (which I don't believe for a moment!) without giving me any other information about how long it takes to get through the airport etc. Totally useless!
I decided to ask someone who would know what they were talking about, so I asked the local taxi company who do airport runs all the time (we live fairly close to T5).
They said leave at least 1 hour, or 2 hours for me because I am disabled and walk very slowly. That's long enough to get through all the security hoops without having to rush, and still have time to do a bit of shopping if you want.
Hope this helps!

Is'nt it the airline rather than the airport that specifies the check-in time allowances?
I would check the airline's website.0 -

They should tell you when check-in closes, and also when the "fast" bag-drop closes (typically 40 minutes before take-off). They will also tell you when you have to be at the departure gate, generally 30 minutes before take-off.
They no longer guarantee to take you if you check in on time. So if security checks take longer than expected, it is your problem.0 -

Didn't help me at all, which is why I asked the taxi company!
Info is here on BA's terminal5 webpage:
http://www.terminal5.ba.com/en/information/
"To ensure we deliver the service you expect and avoid delays, you must pass through Check-in and Security and be ready to fly at least 35 minutes before your flight departs. If you miss this deadline, you will not be allowed onto your flight."0
