New York and Vegas

Hoping to go to at least New York for our honeymoon next October and possibly Vegas - money permitting.
Anybody know how to get a good price on a twin city holiday as Im getting approx prices of £1000 per person for flights and accommodation - is this about right?
Ideally I'd like to stop in New York for 4 to 5 nights, fly to Vegas and stop there for 3 to 4 nights and then fly back to the UK.
Many thanks in advance

Here's a couple of ideas for you..
check out the Carlton Hotel in NYC..stayed there in Sept..its was good value, rooms were great and its really well located (2 blocks from the Empire state).
Go on to Expedia and check rates for 'hotel and flight' from NYC to LAS..this can give some great deals.
Try also https://www.iflyswa.com for flights from NYC to LAS. (I think they fly from Long Island). LON - NYC shouldn't be costing more than £250 on a bad day at the minute.Timmay!0 -
They do a good deal at Travelbag.co.uk - They have a package where you stay 3 nights in New York and then 4 nights in Las Vegas. I know quite often it is better to book independently, but this is a bargain (in my eyes) at £499 per person! You never know how far you can fly, till you spread your wings.0

Forgot to say, if that is just a little bit too short, they also offer 3 nights New York, 3 nights Las Vegas, 3 nights Orlando prices starting at around £600.
Plus with travelbag you can actually change the number of nights in each city or add extra cities should your budget allow. You never know how far you can fly, till you spread your wings.0 -
Try this for your flight sections

The date you fly out (usually) determines the price of the air fare\package. November 1st is usually the start of the "cheap" season, with prices alsmost halving.
IMHO You are way too far ahead to get any decent deals.
Ring a consolidator (Trailfinders etc) ask when the cheapest fares start.
Personally I'd book the accomodation through Priceline as NYC is ideal for this, Vegas hotels usually have very good deals in their quiet time between conferences.
Get on their email lists for notification of good rates.
Book the flights through whoever is the cheapest.0 -
try to arrange your las vegas section for monday - Thursday as the hotels there are much cheaper on these days, friday night all the amercians fly in for there weekend of gambling and room prices shoot up0

Went to NYC for my honeymoon too - well worth it. But anyway back to the useful stuff.
Booked flights via https://www.statravel.co.uk do cheap flights for people under 26, but the offer on at the times was open to all ages.
Booked hotel direct with https://www.wolcott.com well located and reasonably priced, do have offers on their website occassionally too.2p off is still 2p off!0
