Hello
I wondered if anyone could help. I had 2 years isa allowance in a Halifax account however the rate has dropped to 0.5%.
I have had a look at Martins site and looks like the Natwest account is best for me.. however I am currently on a years holiday. I understand I can apply online but if I have to sign something they send in the post how does that work???
Any suggestions would be great.

If you are not already a Natwest customer, you have to open an instant access savings or current account before you can open their e-ISA, see http://www.natwest.com/personal/savings/g2/isas/e-isa.ashx?DCMP=ILC-PromoHPSmlBnr.0 -

International Dialling - (calls are charged at international rates)
For all product areas - 0044 1133 809 574: 24 Hours
No forms to fill in and it pays you 3% fixed (I'd hazard a guess Nat West will be reducing their rate soon anyway), allowing 4 withdrawals.
Linky to the product here.
Saves filling in lots of forms too.0 -
Natwest Cash Isa Plus WON'T accept transfers in from previous years.0

No, but the e-ISA will, and for >£10k it pays 3.51% which is the same as the Cash ISA Plus.0 -
Either go for the Halifax direct ISA or go for the fixed rate ISA, which I think off hand is slightly better rates than the direct ISA. Your whole ISA account will be transferred over to the new account, so its all very easy! (As long as you stay with the same bank!)Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
