John Fowler, Tolroy Manor Holiday Park

We are due to go on our holidays at the end of July to John Fowlers, Tolroy Holiday Park in Cornwall, we are stopping in a Crofters chalet. Just a bit concerned as I have read some very mixed reviews on the place, I am really looking forward to going other than that as I have always wanted to visit Cornwall. Can anyone please give me some positives on the Holiday Park, Will be grateful for any replies

We stayed on this park last year and liked it very much. It was quiet and family friendly. The chalets were clean and very well equipped compared to other parks. The childrens entertainment was excellent at night. Dont know about during the day as we were out and about but as a base it was very central and we are returning this year which says a lot as we go to Cornwall every year and usually dont use the same place twice. Hope this helps.0

Reviews here and holiday watchdog and review centre are mixed, to be honest - some people seem to love it, others less so; I guess that as with all these things it will boil down to how it goes for you on the stay itself - try not to worry - I find some reviews perplexing - sometimes you stay places and they're great, but have had lukewarm reviews; other times the most cruddy places get reviewed like they're paradise. I often think a lot depends on what earlier reviews have said - sometimes a positive vibe creates more positives than a place warrants; the same can be true in reverse! I'm sure that if the weather's kind, you'll have a great time. Cornwall's lovely - just do a bit of research before you go and get out to the fabulous beaches and countryside!!Reason for edit? Haven't yet done this site but have stayed on several others of john fowlers and loved them all. We prefer them to haven as they aren't quite as big. The kids adore the entertainment and freddy fox.
But it is basic and there isn't as much on site as say butlins, but we found that better.
Really good for younger kids (ours are 1,6 and 11), may not be as great for teens. Still its a cheap base for exploring an area.
