Genus MP4 Player

Got this bargain yesterday and have finally used PSP Video 9 to convert DVD files to MP4.

When player on the PC, the MP4's work OK.

However, when played on the Genus, the sound lags the video by a couple of seconds, which is a bit annoying.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Might be an issue of bitrate. Some camera phones record video in MP4, and suffer lag on playback, because they actually record the sound at a slightly higher bitrate than they can cope with at playback.

I know PSP Video 9 has profiles - use the ones at the bottom of the list which say movie, then has a duration. I believe they compact things down a bit more.

Or, you can change the audio profile manually. Not sure how off the top of my head. Try reducing the audio bitrate.

Can anyone tell me why I have no sound at all when I put recorded tv from

my media centre pc onto the genus using videora ipod converter (which is

almost the same as pspvideo 9)?



I get perfect sound (no lags) from converted dvd's using the same software.
