FP, I wasn't offended by anything you said - in fact you have me confused as to what I might have been offended by! :D Seriously though, nothing you said offended me.

Just had to call Asda Financial services about a letter they sent requesting details of my house alarm - which I don't have! All got very confusing because they were talking about a buildings policy which I wouldn't take out as its a council house!:D

Anyway, after a lot of chatting it turns out that someone (probably the same someone who set up a Tesco household insurance policy for me) had set up an Asda one as well. Problem than arises that I paid money into the policy thinking it was the original contents one I took out in January! So I now have to wait to find out what they are going to do about the £52 of mine they currently have tied up in a policy I didn't take out. My fault I suppose as I didn't double check the reference numbers so a warning to you all to do so. Oh and I eventually passed all the security checks on the bogus policy - though turned out later they had an incorrect date of birth they had the correct home phone number as well as name and address.

Oh well, call centre chap and I had a good old chat and it gave him something different to deal with! :rotfl:

Right, bit early for an alcoholic drink (for me atleast) so anyone for a cuppa?

Yes thanks Phil, these things no longer worry me - just a little entertainment for me! :D Can't do anything about the money as it needs the 9-5ers to sort it and of course its a saturday so they're all at home having a barbq in the garden!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

How are you then, still doing ok?

    Good evening all,

I have had a wonderful day out with the kids at the Devon county show, even though now shattered it was worth it. Loads of free samples of food and drink and free entry for kids, what could be better! Council have just been and fixed the cistern (?) on the toilet that was spilt when I got home and peace once again reins in the house. Bottle of asti half way empty, cheese and biccis in the fridge for later. Hope that you've all had a good day, anyone for drinks?
  • Well I opened my first beer at 16:30 to watch Leicester win the Heineken Cup Final! Unfortunately I'm now a good few down (Carlsberg is currently very cheap at Tesco) and Leicester successfully lost - That really wasn't in the script!!!

    Cheers to all!

I see my little 'course correction' elsewhere has generated more discussion. ;)

Oh, well, nature of discussion to get heated I suppose.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Talking of 'asti'. Purchased something today, was only cheap. Bright blue, got vodka in it.

    Oh, that bad, then.
