I know what you mean about Phil....he is the backbone of this place. Now he`s back we are in safe hands.

Don't worry I know it was meant well.

You have lots of energy & plenty to offer others & I have to say you bring a dimension to this forum I have not seen before ....I am talking about HOPE & BELIEF...& it is very welcome.

Yes, it's that influence if you like that is getting at, to me. That it is doing that. Which I know it is. Not an 'influence' but hope is all I do believe in. And worrying because I know it is, holding back, then doubting even though it's something positive. Basically, what I am saying is I know there are thousands reading MSE at any one point probably. It's everywhere. And I am sat here, things I may say may spur someone to change something, give them hope. It may filter outwards, change things in other ways. Sitting here, just one person. Not anyone special but I am touching so many people's lives, giving them perhaps something they need, have given up on. And it's almost like a 'responsibility'. I know it's not but I become very very conscious at times of how many are reading, hoping, wanting to have hope, reaching for it. Needing it. Clutching at it. From hope change begins. And because I instinctively recognize a need that we as a species in order to move forwards, progress beyond what we are, all these troubles, all these problems we face in a period mostly unlike any other in history ... it's a bit of a tipping but also turning point if you like ... Hope is something that is very powerful. And it is really all that is left for me to use or give. Everything else has gone. So hope remains. Hope must never be misused you see, but given.

As to the energy. Not a clue where all that comes from. Just is, I imagine. The strength if you like appears to be limitless, I never really tire of it and seems to be plenty to go round.

Guess what I am also saying is I don't ever want the power to influence anyone. It's too much a responsibility which is why I talk about choices a lot when I post.

The other half of my belief is this ... to help. Improve things.

Hey Merlin ( sorry I `quote` to ensure that you won`t delete)

I do understand that many come on here at probably the worst point in their lives ( as I did last March) & just a few words make more difference than anyone will know. It happened to me so I know.

You will never ever know how much you help others & its not a case of whether someone says `thanks` or presses that button....it is whether you actually have `touched` someones life enough to make a difference ( no thanks can ever change that). None of us know that effect but be sure that you will have helped people on this public forum.

I would say that you need to dispell yourself of whatever is eating away at you....rid yourself of it & move forward...look ahead.

Sorry if I am teaching you to suck eggs.....I suspect I am but you need to move forward towards to Sun....& not look back.

Having browser troubles so missing posts. Yes, this is why I let that 'someone' see that part of myself earlier this week. Words aren't enough sometimes to express what I needed to both be understood but also related. Then they saw what it is that is eating away at me.

There are so many life stories on this forum and beyond it. They must be heard, shared and thus helped. Throw the doors open and tell them. So they can be heard, listened to and remembered.
