Buyer has wrong delivery address in PayPal

I recently sold an item on eBay and within a few minutes of the buyer having made their purchase they e-mailed me with an alternative address to the one listed in theri PayPal account, according to the buyer they realised that they had the wrong address just after buying the item and do not know how to change the address in PayPal.

I e-mailed the buyer back and explained that I could not send the item to the new address they had e-mailed I would need to send it to the address listed in PayPal, I asked them to go back and change it in their account then let me know once they had done so and I could then despatch it to the correct address, it has now been three days and they have not replied to my e-mail what should I do?

Odd! If the buyer paid with PayPal, he/she must have access to the account and, as I'm sure you are aware, once logged on it is perfectly easy to change the address under <edit my profile>.

I'm pretty sure the changed address won't show up for you unless you refund and they pay again. Perhaps wait for at least an acknowledgement of your message before refunding though!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

It's a piece of cake to change your address in Paypal.

So they can do that I'm sure.

Nope it won't change for that transaction unless you refund and they pay again after address has been changed. So refund and ask them to change the address and repay will take a few minutes and I wouldn't post until they do so.

Though technically I think you can send it to the other address.

Paypal has updated their sellers policy and if the buyer asks for it to be send to another address you can do that.

But you need to keep the e-mail they sent you, they might ask you to send it to them including the headers (with all the information like their IP address to be sure they actually sent it)

I can't see where paypal changed their policy, do you have a link please?. The rules as I can still see them is that the item must be sent to the address in the box on the paypal transaction that paypal themselves confirm 'is OK to send'. It actually says later on if you send to another address you are NOT covered.
