Sat Nav needed...
Hi one and all,
It's hubby's birthday on the 19th of March and I've been searching Ebay and the online stores for a Sat Nav for him. His job is a trade plate driver and spends time online each evening printing off maps and finding his destinations for the following day. His life would be made easier and simpler (and my ink would last a lot longer) if he got a Sat Nav that could be taken from car to car with him, but I can't seem to find a decently priced one?
We're on a low income so we really can't afford £300+, my wages each month are not even half that amount! Can any savvy shopper point me in the right direction please?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
Lisa

Hello aquarian3
I've moved your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, where it should get more views and responses.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

It's the must have toy. Does not always give you the best or even shortest route. Very good if you get lost.
I purchased a Mio268 plus & quite like it. Plugs into cigar lighter or runs off internal rechargable battery. Sucker fixes arm to screen so very portable. I then went into the various Forums (I know cart before the horse). The majority opinion seemed to be Tom Tom are the most popular (best). PC World & Halfords are well stocked, pop in have a play & price them up. Then come home & check several of the Price Comparison Sites (ie Pricerunner) & see if you can beat the price (remember the delivery charge).

I recently bought the TomTom One on advice from this board and other reviews and I've found it excellent. it doesn't like it when I go to Tescos on the way somewhere - thinks I'm lost! Has also tried to take me the wrong way down a one way but I'm getting used to it now and would recommend it. My husband thought it was a stupid gadget until he took it on a journey - now he's sold. You can take it from car to car and even on walks/bike rides if you really want to.
It was easy to install - just turn on and go. I thought I'd be spending hours setting it up but it was instant.0 -
