Got the 4901 (my £1.70 e-bay investment). What do you need to know?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. The handsets are the same I think.

To program the phonebook, press the left side of the circular button (symbol looks like a book), then push the MENU (R) button (bottom right) and the screen shows ADD*.

If you want to ADD an entry, press OK. Screen changes to NAME. Use the keys to enter the name (the word NAME disappears when you hit the first key). Up to 15 characters can be entered.

When you've finished, hit OK again and the screen changes to NUMBER. Use the keys to enter the number (up to 30 numbers!).

    * If you want to EDIT or DELETE or DELETE ALL, press the down arrow until you find the one you want and then press OK.
