Hi Im going to work with a Charity They are an American Non Prophet Organisation.
I need to Raise the Money to go on this trip it will cost me £1100 the money that I have raised and I will pay the money to the charity.
So my question is this Would I be able to Claim any money on Gift Aid for this Amount of money?? Or Would the charity be able to claim any "Gift Aid" on the £1100 that I have raised??? I am a UK Tax Payer as well.
So what would the situation on this be ?? and if I could claim how do I go about claiming the money for Gift Aid?

It is the charity that claims the gift aid - they will need a declaration from you to say you are a UK taxpayer, or if you have raised money from a number of people then declarations from all of them (eg like you see on a sponsor form) as charities cannot use your declaration for monies given by other people. Contact the charity or look at their website for advice. Good luck!fran-o0

But as they are an American charity, they won't be able to claim Gft Aid as this applies to UK charities only.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

unless they have a registered associated charity here. if this is the case, they should let you know...for more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.
