I found it a bit Blue Peter,

Should be fun in December watching them make the Christmas decorations from a kn*ckered pallet, a very big hammer and an old bath then .:rotfl:

The site looks extremely sterile and childlike too, almost as if a teletubby is about to swank across the set. As for the "Hot" or Not", someone's clearly been watching too much Top Gear...

Glad its not just me that thinks so

i never bothered tuning in this week ater watching last weeks episode i found the presenters irritating and content poor ,Loved the old stylepresenters Geoff Hamoliton and even monty was super .. I agree with fellow posters that C kline knows her stuff and presents well but as for the others its a turn off for me .I'l stick with beechgrove
I won't be watching it again and even my neighbour said it should be relegated to CBBC.

Personally, I stopped watching it after Geoff Hamilton died.

At that point the BBC, as ever, decided to put style in place of substance.

    Lol:rotfl:

They'll probably do a sticky-backed plastic & empty loo roll tube make over.

No -I'll give it a miss from now on.

It does seem to have gone a bit Blue Peter. They missed an opportunity by not giving Carol the top job she would have made a good job of it. I am sure they will settle in eventually, but they may well have to review the current format.

I don't get those doors he bought. He went for them because they had the numbers from the football ground on them, then painted them all over!

And those windows, £20 each and then they must have spent hours getting them stained like that and putting new bits of glass in them.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

Well - I've just watched that 2nd programme of the series - and 'twas pretty useful for a newbie like me - and I've duly been going through it making notes. So - I'll be back for more personally.

I think I liked Geoff Hamilton best of all. He was a natural. Carol Klein is obviously a very keen plant enthusiast but honestly , does anybody really garden in all those long coats and scarves. My jury is out on Toby Buckland. I can see that his style might appeal to newby gardeners but I do dislike the cult of youth on virtually every programme which appears on the BBC. Older more experienced gardeners have a lot of historical information to off and I hate seeing them pensioned off.

Not just me either then! It really has changed so much. I find it irritating just how dubbed down it is now. The growbag fiasco last night was a good example, 'I'll put mine on its side' (huh)? 'Oh dear now I've cut too much off' la la la...
The pots filled with plants last night too, casual aside 'oh about £50 each' (eeeek)..what happend to seeds?
I like Carol too, my only niggle is when she is miked up, she talks downwards and I have problems hearing her (I normally put text on)..
Dreading the new crowd 'doing' Chelsea - please let Carol review Chelsea!

I liked Geoff Hamilton too, I always remember when his cat appeared - it was called Dennis.

I think next week (17th Apr) they will do the first of the 'model gardens' in white & silver, Sissinghurst stylee. Hopefully that will be 'proper' gardening otherwise it'll be three watches and out for me.
