    Well a lot of banks do. HSBC and Halifax both do. States in their T&Cs that you are only allowed 1 student account. And it seems as though you got a HSBC and Halifax one...

    One student a/c per student but then you can always have a mainstream account as well I guess.

    You're also ineligible for any of the student incentives that go with the account as it is outside the period in which they are on offer. so no rail card either.
