Thats the same hack as for your 900.
Pretty much all known player hacks are on that siteThey promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0 -
Is there any way to make the Philips DVD3005 player region free? It was cheap and is mad (power light comes on when player is off and vice versa) so thought would have a go if technically possible. It does not work with a SetUp Menu, just plug n play so maybe not? (it's not on the website listed above unfortunately)
thank you0 -
Didn't search the forums there then

Region code hack posted by Håkan Hansson, May 13 2005:
I have tried Pepe's hack for DVP 530 and it works fine on my 3005 player too:
Region code hack posted by Pepe, March 25 2004:
- Press "System Menu" key to enter Set Up menu.
- Move to "Preference Page" using arrow keys to the left or to the right.
- Press the following sequence in the remote control: 135566
- A menu indicating "Region Code" will appear.
- Change region using arrow keys to top or down. Region Code = 0 will play all regions.
- Press "System Menu" key to exit Set Up menu.
Guess they haven't updated their main list for a whileThey promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0 -
Oops sorry, missed the search facility. Thanks for that.
That preferences trick didn't work so dumbo here just put in the DVD....... and it plays  Mind you it's a french film bought from the US but nowhere on the DVD's box does it say it's zone 1 either. I'm assuming it is.
Now have to work out how to change the screen settings so as to make the subtitles readable.0
