Be aware that if you use sprayable paints or preservatives and they are carried on the wind into your neighbours land you are liable for any damage to plants, pets and garden furniture etc.

The adverts do like to show how easy it is but never show the consequences.........

i guess you are going for a decent sprayer, not a cheapie as seen on the tv. if its a good one maybe hired the time and solution saved will be worth it

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i would avoid using a paint sprayer

you find you spray the preservative anywhere but on the panels. the slightest breeze and its all over the ground, over the top of the fence and all over yourself, and the panel is lucky to have a thin coat

not worth the money at all, for the sprayer or the preservative

much better to use elbow grease and a paintbrush

    Totally agree.
I was given a very generous birthday present of a sprayer. Used it to do one side of my fence. Spray went everywhere
Did the other side with the brush partly because it runs beside the shed and it was easier to get at the panels.

Spray quicker, but messy. However cleaning out sprayer took much longer than washing out the brush so no time saved and the brush makes much less mess.
