Recording Sky & watching Freeview simultaneously

I have a Panasonic DMR-ES20DEB DVD recorder. Although not set up at present it is able to record from a satellite feed via the AV1/2 scart channels.

My question is if I set the DVD recorder to tape from a SKY box will I be able to watch Freeview at the same time via the Freeview tuner in the Panasonic ?

I doubt it very much, whats wrong with the tuner in your TV?

I'm assuming it doesn't have freeview?

I agree though, these things tend to be able to do one thing at a time, so it's probably a case of watching freeview from it or recording to it.

A freeview box is only £20 though.

I have an old analogue Panasonic DMR-ES10EB-S which I can use to record digital freeview signal from the TV whilst I watch sky.
