Problems viewing pictures and videos on line

I use AOL and have recently started having problems in viewing pictures or videos on webpages.
For example if I go on various webpages all i see in the top right corner is an icon which is red, blue and green.
I have no idea what software I am missing on my computer that is not allowing me to see content on webpages.
I have tried viewing pages using IE 8 but no joy.

If for example i go to the heartnorthants website and go on the face your fears at 40 page there should be a video to view, but all i see is a blank white square with an icon in the top left corner0

Im not sure why your giving me examples Craig. I asked if youve had the problems since installing IE8. And if the problems are gone if you try through FIREFOX instead.:idea:0
