Hi

Read your post about freeview working in Germany, so on a day trip to UK got a box from Tesco, only can't get it to pick up any channels any ideas what Im doing wrong???

    Could you get Sky in the block before?? (I'm assuming you live in a block of flats with a dish in the attic)
    If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

    YES!! most of, if not all Blocks in Germany (Brit forces ones) are fitted with a dish in the attic so all living in there can get Sky/BFBS/Freesat.

    Sorry I didn't realise you had a house.

    You will need to get your hands on a dish. (MediaMarkt will sell them)

    We are talking freesat and not Freeview as you state in your original post ?

    In a different thread Cat said freeview and sky work in Germany. Thats when I decided to get one, but it wont pick up any channels!
    I have a box we got free from SSVC which gets me channels like BFBS and cbeebies. I just wanted E4. Cant have sky as I dont know anyone in UK who does not already have it!

    OK been a while since i was in Germany, so not sure about the freeview.

    freesat has nothing to do with sky see here so there is no contract all you need is the dish then buy the box
