Have they cashed your cheque even though they
knew they didnt have a 9.50 hoilday to offer you .if they
haven't cashed it cancel it with your bank.

Unfortunately I tried that but the "nice" people at The Holidays In The Sun, or GFM or whoever have made sure that my cheque has been cashed.

I have written a letter of complaint to their head office. What more can I do? They would not even offer me an alternative accommodation.

You could try to get in touch with Trading Standards....they might be able to give you a hand. To my mind when they cashed your cheque they accepted your offer of £47.50 for the holiday you requested.

I have just got my holiday back for a weekend in June. I had gone for the £15 PP so expected to pay a bit more and had also put down for Halfboard but could not see anywhere that said this was extra. anyway when I got the bill they wanted £160. off me. I rang up and they have changed me to self Catering which had took it down to around £80 - It was only a bit more to book via the website so I think that I will be doing that next year instead - at least I wont have to put down lots of options.

why dont someone email watchdog and let them know so that they can have a go at the sun for misselling so to speak..

When you book it all the extras you have to pay for are listed with each site. if you booked half board it would have said under the listing what each persons meals would cost per day. They are not trying to diddle anyone. All the costs are there in black and white.

ONLY ONCE HAVE WE COMPLAINED ABOUT ACCOMIDATION, SOMEONE HAD PED ON THE MATRESS AND FLOOR OF OUR CABIN, THE MATRESS WAS CHANGED AND CLEANERS CAME TO SHAMPOO THE ROOM. THESE HOLIDAYS ARE AS CHEAP AS YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM, I ALWAYS GO SELF CATERING. AND CHECK OUT ALL THE SITES ON LINE OR IN BROCHERS BEFORE I BOOK SITE.
