    The Multipla used to have "Marmite" looks which meant at least some people liked it. Now it looks dull and annonymous which means no one likes it. I don't like Marmite ;)
    Early cars had a habit of chewing up front brake disks inside 20K miles, past that couldn't say, 20mpg pretty unforgivable these days if that is really all the 1.6 can do.
  • My Wife's dad had one of these a few years ago.

    All in all it was a pretty nice car, looks aren't to important when you're sat inside. He had the 1.9jtd elx. The alarm was a bit shall we say tempremental, It refused to turn itself off sometimes so we had to drive 15 miles with it blaring out to get to a garage. turns out the buttons for the alarm snap very easily after a few years (Fiats words) However they did fix it for free whilst we waited. Due due to the hand brake cable being exposed, when we had a teeny tiny bit of snow it used to freeze on. Used to return good MPG, around the 45+ mark. Very comfy, and quite smooth. This was a pre facelift model btw.

    If you just want 6 seats and can afford it take a look at the Honda FRV.

    My family have had 2 multiplas. The first one was the unconventional looking 1.6 petrol, and the second one we had was the more conventional 1.9 turbo diesel. Agreed, the 1.6's fuel economy was shocking, but for the latter version, the economy was pretty good. Mid to high 40 mpg. Whichever you go for, they're very good cars.
  • Thank you all so much for your replies, really appreciate it. Still very interested in getting one, even after reading some replies!!!! (Made me laugh!!!!)

    Fiat themselves used to revel in the ugliness of their baby.

    When it first came out some had stickers in the rear screen saying;

    If you think it looks ugly from the back wait till you see it from the front.
