My Laptop Says Random Things to Me!

Hi,
I don't know if anone can help but I think that my computer has got a virus as it says random things to me in a robotic style voice (I know, this sounds completely bizarre).
For example, when I start it from sleep mode, it says things like "Look at my cool hair" (this sounds completely mad but it's true, I even got my DH to listen to it) and when I put it into sleep mode, it says "Go and get on with it then".
I have run several virus/spyware checkers but it's still there. I don't know enough about computers to be able to identify the rogue files and remove them.
I know how crazy this all sounds but it's getting annoying now! It's been like it for about 10 days. Any ideas anyone? Please?
Thanks!
Lucy

have you run malwarebytes? http://www.gt500.org/malwarebytes/mbam.jsp
install it, update it (should do automatically after installation) and run a scan using it. delete anything it finds.0 -
Around 10 days... since April 1st?
Sounds like somebody may have changed your sounds - either give the OH a kick and get it set back, or go into Control Panel, Sounds and Audio devices and check out the Sounds tab.0 -

My OH says random things to me. Do you think I should try and adjust her settings??If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Hi, thanks for the replies. It's probably been a little longer than 10 days, and my first thought was that my OH had been messing about with the laptop but he denies it. Despite being kicked. Hard.
I have been through the sounds settings but can't find anything there. A priest won't help as I'm an atheist!
Am running the malwarebytes - it hasn't finished yet but has found some infected files.
Will update when it has finished.0 -
OP, I hope you get this sorted but just wanted to thank you for making me smile....tears are running down my cheeks- sorry, not making fun, just cracked me up and I wanted to thank you!0

I wouldn't mind my lappy talking to me, lol.
'Look at my cool hair' :rotfl:
Yeah! A Lappy with attitude. Love it.

See, now I told you all it sounded completely crazy, didn't I? Glad (no, really) that it has been amusing - I would have thought it hilarious too (in fact, I do think that
). You'll also be pleased to know that I'm only allowed out when properly supervised.
However, I am pleased to announce that it no longer talks to me. So either the malwarebytes worked or DH decided to remove something that he denies putting on there. Despite the well-aimed kicks
Thanks for the support!
