Glamazon - that's rotten. They (finally this morning) gave me some codeine just to take when needed for a couple days for my diverticulitis - I just couldn't function through the pain. And the GP gave me amoxicillin over the objection of the midwife/consultant at the maternity unit as well. They wanted me just to have some pain meds for a day - which is only masking the symptom, not treating the infection. Thank goodness the GP had some sense. Hope you can get something safe for some relief.

I've not actually been to Dentist yet
My wisdom teeth have been coming thru for the last 5 years - one a time verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slowly and painfully. Last dentist said I had plenty of room so didn't need to have them removed. The inside of my mouth is ripped to shreds and swollen where the last one is coming through - been using Bonjela and paracetamol.
I actually need to find a dentist - I've not got any fillings or anything so I don't tend to go regularly as the dentist never does anything. But I think I need a filling now (not bad, first one at 25!) so need to find a local one taking NHS patients.

Is all dentist treatment free when pregnant or just check up?

I had to have a filling replaced when I was about 12-14 wks (the tooth cracked and filling fell out), and it didn't cost anything, just asked for my due date which they wrote down.

Had a really horrid cold most of this week, so impossible to tell which feelings are from the cold & which are early pregnancy ones. Made worse, of course, by the fact that I can only take small amts of paracetamol, so of course the cold lasted way longer than normal! Have been feeling niggling nausea for the past day or so, even though I read it doesn't REALLY start until around week 6. Uh-oh, hope this doesn't mean I'm in for the worst!

I'm new to the list today too, after trying for just a month. I've had a horrible cold too, but no signs of nausea yet. Down on list as EDD of 25th December but after some research this morning, I think I miscalculated so think it's more like 15th December. Which means i'll be about 5 and a half weeks. Still think i'm feeling too good at minute to be getting any sickness tho.

Welcome - most people miscalculate their EDD so don't worry! Once you've had your dating scan just update the EDD list - that's what I did.
Although when anyone asks when I'm due I say Sept/Oct cos I am so impatient that it will drive me nuts everyone saying 'how many weeks left' - I'm counting down to 42 weeks!!

Yay - for free dentist! I will be gutted if I need any work though - I pride myself on the fact that I have no fillings! I eat loadsa crap, brush my teeth in the morning and OH eats healthy and brushes twice a day and has a few fillings!!

My dcotor told me my EDD and it was the one i worked out, but she said "it could change when you have your scan"

Also, im glad for free dentist. I hated paying £16.20 for her to stab my gums and make them bleed lol.

I almost asked for a scale and polish to jusitfy the £16.20
