BBB This thread has pics of finished ones http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1267149&highlight=finished+baskets&page=156 althoughthere are plenty of basket related threads on the special occasions board.

I find if you stick to a theme, have a nice amount of small things to nestle inbetween etc it looks better

Also, sometimes less is more :)

Your right I never did say, I'm also glad I did not after someone on mse basically homing away info and strange occurances since!

I however have named them on another forum, to which many can testify.

I understand posting about charities, but still felt I should update people as the baskets would not have been half as lovely without the finishing touches :)

As you asked for donations on this thread/forum, and indeed received many donations, then it would have only been polite to name the charity that benefited from the MSE users who donated these "finishing touches".

However as this is now off topic for this particular thread and against the rules of MSE then its probably time to put it to bed and I'd just remind users of the rule linked to above.

I never even thought at the time and nobody asked. However since I have an MSE stalker I will not give that info now due to the fact that it is not a national charity and there are strange people in this world. Others can say that they have been informed of the charity should my integrity be questioned though.

However, if anyone who donated wishes to pm me i'll happily tell them

Obviously I can't comment on another forum :)

I just thought that as you had asked people on here for donations, it might've been courteous to tell them what charity they had indirectly benefitted. You did see the need to come back on here and say you had thanked people and that the charity made £286 from 33 baskets. Nice to update ;)

How are your sons now? You must nearly have your hands full!!

The reason I hardly post is due to odd behaviour, I'm sure you can understand this, nobody asked at the time and i'm more than willing to update those that did donate, but not an open forum, i think that is very fair.

My sons are great, but as the odd behaviour was linked to them, i can't really say much :)

I thought the reason you weren't posting was cos you moved/no internet etc. But if thats related to the odd behaviour, I'll say no more.
Just hadn't seen you online before now and didn't think it appropriate to ask questions if you weren't able to answer them, IYSWIM?
Glad your boys are ok. :)

Well it did not help lol. But no I had just not come on to update as I was waiting to hear from them and forgot that they could not talk to me as I'd even changed my mobile, found out last week but then slipped my mind to log on to mse as brain gone lala with moving!

And having 2 kiddies under 3! Amazing you have time for MSE at all, really! Bet some days you're pushed to know what day it is :)
One reason I asked, was I got letters from the 2 charities I donate to, saying how much they had raised on my donations last tax year and how much they had gained back from the gift aid too.
Thought your charities might have done similar.

Not at all, I have all the time in the world from 8ish and no OH to clean up after etc, so lots of time to do chores or yabber etc. And they are angels anyway considering they are boys!

No they are a smallish charity, not national, they just asked if i'd do it again as i did some at xmas etc

They do not send emails, only emails or updates I get are from nationals like breastcancer, sightsavers and c.research i think?

Sorry but there are thousands of people who read this thread and only actually do so to find out about Boots bargains not to read posts from people just edging for trouble. Gets a bit boring when the same posters continually try to 'stir' trouble on here. Back to Boots topic;)

Speke branch, had lots of the NC bags and also the body polishers still at £1.23 and 61p and then if you spend £5 you get 250 points back:D
    not much else there though:o
