Sorry Mimi that you've had no luck getting the Mens L'oreal stuff. It might be worth ringing CS and explaining that you've tried to buy the correct items detailed on the vouchers, but it won't scan and that you find it a little unfair (well a lot actually) that ladies have the pick of the products! You never know CS might give you a reference number to quote in store so that you can spend your binnies!
Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the men's FCUK travel minis are on clearance and 342 - just got 3 x travel deodorants (44p each) and 3 x Bodywashes (87p each). Looks like the S&G minis were on clearance too, but none left:(
I also spotted a sel for Sure ADP Anti-perspirant for 63p not sure which fragrance, but the others on the shelf were £2.xx. Didn't buy any as I've enough Dove from Tesco to see me into the next decade!:D0 -

Thanks for the above WANNA B RICH, I will give it a go, thought doubt it. Normally when I call CS, they are not that helpful, and there are long uncomfortable silences most of the time. If you get the SA to override for you again, keep an eye out for one of the products in the L'Oreal Wrinkle De Crease mens range as it has been reduced to £3.00, so technically 2 x items, use 1 x binnie and £1, and it does look kinda posh.
Thanks to SALLY06 for explaining the Olay thing.
Also saw lots of Boots Mens Expert things at between 50p and 100p, I am sure there were some 250 points vouchers on the acm or the magazine a bit ago. Shame I can't get any on my acm thing now! Such a shame, but what the hell.
Anyway, almost home time. Can't wait. Been up since 6!0 -

I had to laugh at the doc yesterday when he suggested I try to steam her
using the hot water in a basin and a towel over your head........ I might be completely missing the point here, but..... well .... how do you do that to a baby without dunking them in head first?
Think I'll give that one a miss!
xXxXxXxXx
I remember my health visitor told me to do this but she said to shut the bathroom door and steam the whole room, I remember my hubbie came home and walked in the bathroom and couldnt see, he went mad because all the wallpaper started peeling off.:eek::eek:0 -
...there is some reduced items in Luton. No7 nail file set is 1/2price and the eye lash curlers are also 1/2 price - lots of other reduced accessories too. All on the same stand. I think I saw some R&M brushes reduced too. Also, lots of false nails and other nail accessories are reduced. Sorry, I totally forgot about these when I posted earlier:o
The clearance shelf still has the PP creams and tights, the green sanctuary gift sets and quite a lot of rubbish too!0 -

Ahhhh, ok- thank you for checking. I agree, cuddles seem to be the best medicine! She is not generally an over cuddly baby, but when she is poorly she loves her cuddles and doesn't like it when you leave her for two mins! lol

I knew there had to be an easier way of doing it! Thank you, lol
Will give that a shot just before bed I think :T
Sarahdol- that sounds so funny, lmao- I'm sure hubby wasn't impressed at the time, but he can probably laugh about it now. I have a vision of a poor innocent man hoping to nip to wash his hands and walking into a sauna with his specs steaming up :rotfl:
Thanks to everyone for their great advice, I know it's been totally o/t, but it has really been a great help to me to have your great tips to try out and help my little baby, thank you all again for you patience with me :A

I hadn't thought of buttercup actually- will have to have a little check of the ages, but I don't think I can give her Medised, as I tried to buy it for DS last year (I used to use this more than any other medicine) but they wouldn't sell it to me because a couple of weeks prior, they had changed the age to being 2 years minimum and he wasn't 2 at that point. Unfortunately as DD is only 9 months, I think it would definately be out of the window....... but at the same time, I never found that it did DS any harm when he did use it, so I am trying to weigh up the risk/reward factor iyswim? I don't want to sound like a careless mother, but I'm sure you understand the predicament of wanting to do something to help- but the Pharmacist/Doc is telling you that you can't.
Thank you for your message, it's very much appreciated
*Just to keep on topic- this refusal actually took place in Boots- I felt like I was being ID'd for cigarettes or alcohol*lol
ETA- Just to clarify, when DS used Medised, it was available for 6months+ (I didn't give him medication that wasn't suitable for his age)
Hey just thought you might like to know, the age of suitability fr all childrens meds has changed again. Medised has gone from 2 years to 6 years. It is all COMBINED ingredients medicines, such as cough and cold products and things like medised which has paracetamol with an antihistamine.
I read up on it and had the leaflets from Boots, and the Pharmacy place has decided that the RISK of using combined products outweighs the benefits of using combined products, such as cotdeaths etc. I do not want t make anybdy worried because when i asked about it the Pharmacist said that there is no risk AFTER it has stopped being used in those age ranges, there is just too much of a risk WHILE it is being used.
hope that helps somebody x0
