Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 53 - Post your finds here

I've been to 6 boots in the last week and not found any small berry bags, russian dolls or travel case with bottles
I did find the case without the bottles for £2.** I visited - Borehamwood, Waterfields, Harlequin, Borehamwood, London Colney and Radlett.
when I was reading all the posts about reduced russian dolls, I thought it was a toy doll peeps were talking about:rotfl:I only realised it was actually a bag after seeing a pic that someone had posted:rotfl:
yesterday, something strange happened on dotcom. I tried to order washing up liquid, but the 1/2 price offer didn't appear, so I had cancel my HC membership and re-register. But, the only option showing was for over 60sis this right? it took me ages to sign-up again and in the end I didn't buy the washing up liquid. I hope I haven't signed up to the over 60s club:eek:
Also, has anyone seen EA blue grass instore? I want the GWP, but I am reluctant to buy the perfume off dotcom without testing it first. I remember when the girard sets had a points offer on. I nearly bought a couple, but luckily, I found some testers before I wasted my money -I hated every one of them.0 -

Sally I would advice the use of a tester first. Blue grass (was Helena Rubinstein) has been around a long time, and it is regarded as an 'old fashioned' perfume. I bought some for my MIL, and she is 86 .
It is not a sophisticated fragrance at all and would not suit many people IMO. Maybe thats why they are reducing it.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

It is in a small cardboard carton, it's the Seven Essentials set. Contents include a full sized lipstick and nail varnish.
Lash 360 mascara
Moisture drench lipstick /Cameo
No7 P&P beauty serum
P&P day cream
Dual protection tinted moisturiser
No7 Nail polish
Younger longer hand cream "
The 360 Mascara is great, much nicer than the mascara in the latest No7 gwp.:)0 -

thanks pollsdolls:D I don't think I like the sound of it. No wonder it's going cheap:rolleyes:0 -
Morning Sally06. WHich Boots did you find these bargains in? I think I am quite near you, but never manage to spot the bargains you do! When I went to London Colney recently, I could only find one of the Nivea body lotions, which I grabbed very excitedly, but it scanned at £5.86 “All you need is love. It definitely won't work, not even on SS tills, dates on vouchers is one thing that Mr B seem to get right, unfortunately, sorry. Do keep checking the acm, I got one highlights voucher since the change over day (valid till the middle of May, I think?) Lot of peeps said they got one too. There is also a potential £5 off No.7 cosmetics and 1/2 price glycolic peel that can be combined! hth
Thank you, I'll keep checking the acm and keep fingers crossed that I get another one as I actually use this...well, the free one I got with the voucher in the back of the h and b magazine before i realised you could get more than one magazine!!! Ooh, that probably really dates my make-up, think this was years ago!Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

Has anyone had trouble with the meal deals not appearing on receipts again? I bought my 5th in a month today, with the intention of getting my 6th one free next week, but my receipt didn't show the previous ones I've bought this month. Doesn't it normally print out at the bottom of the receipt the number of meal deals you've bought that month?
Think I'm going to get diddled out of a meal deal!
yes this happened to me this morning, it should have been my 6th meal today and the till didn't register I'd even bought one. It also happened last week when I bought my fourth and fifth meal.
I didn't have any receipts with me to prove it but I will have to go home and check.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

Lucky you Skibster, getting the EA gwp :T did you just pick it up from the stand at the bottom? I always think there are too many SA's watching there t be able to just pick one up
....
There were several SAs standing around looking right at me, but the EA lady wasn't there. But I wasn't trying to be covert, as I thought I could get the gwp with any two items like it said online. Now that I think of it though, the last time I got an EA gwp in store, the darn thing beeped even though I was getting items that would let me have it online. So EA gwps are not programmed to go through properly in-store? Or maybe just in that store? It's really annoying.0 -
Hi I went to both Ashford Boots at the weekend - still no mini mode catalogues!
But I bought from the out of town boots and did get some bargains (finally!!) and lots of it is stuff I actually needed as Ive been making myself use everything up for last 6 months!
I got 3 meal deals with the big bags of malteasers so thanks to whoever found out that works! :T
I got the highlights voucher and the peel voucher but not the third one. I was going to wait but then I found a No7 brush set and I needed some brushes.
so my bargains were( bearing in mind i just handed everything to the till in one big shop so wasnt sure how it would all work out i am pleased):
No 7 Peel £17.60
No 7 High Lites £10.00
No 7 Mini Brush Set £ 7.83
No 7 concealer £7.30
No 7 sponge set x2 £3.92 each
So the high lights voucher went through first and took off £10 then Peel took off £8.80. And then the mini brush set was free as was 1 packet of the sponges :T So all in all I paid £8.80 for the first patch and then £11.22 for next lot so I am very pleased! Just wish I had the third voucher to save me even more though....
Also bought a 17 foundation to get the free animal print box with nailvarnish, lip gloss and eyeshadow. Oh and also got £1 off boots tea tree range so picked up 97p mask so it was completely free
I did spend £38 on everything we needed (including lunch) but saved £39.05 :T, got the next voucher thingy and 152 points.
So I had a good shop I think. But didnt find anything reduced to get. Saw some No7 makeup reduced next to the display in out of town Ashford store and that was about it. The one in town I have decided is just rubbish as I never find anything in there and apart from make up bags last week never any bargains.0
