I just tried a little of the Balm Balm rose face balm. It has a very strong smell! I've heard others say that it is really good. I have very dry flaky skin on my face (which I control well but still get the odd dry patch so thought I would try it) I think I will have to put it on a night though because it really really has a strong smell!

I had Sally Hansen on my shopping list today. But I didn't know what exactly I was looking for and no bargains jumped out at me. Can you tell me exactly what it is please?

      Today I got
      • glyco peel - half price with voucher
      • highlights - free with voucher
      • face cream - free on 3 for 2
Tried the £5 off no7 it didn't work ( no beep, just didn't take it off) felt brave and asked sa why the £5 didn't come off was told it was because I didn't spend £10 on cosmetics - fair enough but I wonder if I it is because I handed her the voucher last  meaning I hadn't spend £10 at all !!

Nivea £1.23 but not of 3 for 2 same as others have mentioned

      Boots deo 20p

      S & G Blueberry & Peach butters 25% off

Loads and loads of Mini Mode at 70% off ( 50% & 20% off ) thanks to the mser who spotted this

      Sally Hansen miracle something £2..

I've checked my receipt again and the £5 wasnt actually deducted from my bill either! Can't understand why as the highlights powder is classed as cosmetics surely? and i put the £5 voucher through before the free highlights powder.

am quite tempted to take it all back!
    • Hi was wondering if anybody had seen the Balm balm rose face balm reduced in the Birmingham area at all pls. I have quite dry skin and have heard this is really good, so would appreciate a heads up. Tia
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

I guess the computer is working out that £10 hasn't been spent on cosmetics, fair enough, not a glitch
We'll just have to figure out the best way to make it work in our favour :rotfl:

I might be quite wrong, so apologies in advance if I am, but there seems to be a common issue with using the new £5 off No 7 Voucher - it is specifically on "COSMETICS" & I think that some people haven't read that part & are trying to use it on skincare items.

On this first post, the "Highlights" is the only cosmetic, the other two (IMHO) would be skincare. The till seems to have been programmed not to take a further reduction, cos the item is free anyway, which is what the SA said.

This is the same for this one, the Glycolic Peel would've been skincare, so it would still ask for the £8.80 (not £8.80 minus £5)

Looks like you paid £8.80 for No7 stuff ( so poss 1/2 price glycol peel ), all your other shopping amounts to £9.73 ( so diff with this and price paid is £8.80), I think the £5 off didn't work

The only way I can see it might work is if you used the "£5 off No 7" first, against the Highlights powder BEFORE you use the Free Highlights Voucher & that it isn't the cheapest on the 3-4-2. The cheapest item would be free, the Highlights would be free (the till would deduct the remaining £10 off, which should cover the other £5 value left for the Highlights PLUS £5 off the Glycolic Peel - if the till is still programmed the same as earlier in the week) then there might still be £3.80 to pay? But someone would need to try this to confirm it!!

** sorry, whilst I've been typing this, it looks like its been confirmed that the above doesn't work! Its taken me ages to reply & there have been some posts in the meantime **

As I said, I might be totally wrong, but just wanted to stop anyone having unrealistic expectations for any pre-planned shopping trips!! If I am wrong, that would be great!! :T

      S xx

hi birmingham high street have some but they are at the tills. they are at the main tills by the cosmetics. last time i saw they were £1.50.
they are on the small shelves on the same level as your knees, so basically you have to look down to see them
they are at the 2nd cashier i think.
but this was a week ago
