Just watching 'Grand Designs'. People do build some odd houses.

Now I thought you would be watching GW on BBC2, but yes they do build odd houses and all the people on there are either architech, builders or just generally loaded and been given a peice of land from a parent/farm etc

I love Grand Designs! I like the houses that are a bit different or quirky, watched one the other day though and the house was awful and the poor bloke had a heart attack while they were building - all very stressful.

Sally, this might be a daft question but are allotments only for veg or do you grow flowers on them too?

It was, I saw most of it then missed a bit and when I came back there was a motorbike pic in the lounge! I felt really sorry for him though, he seemed to mean well.

No you can generally grow whatever you want on there. I am thinking about trying to get a climbing frame off freecycle to stick on our patch too, to keep DD entertained. We are growing sunflowers and I will plant some daff/snowdrops bulbs around the shed. Sweet peas as they are one of my favs and then we shall grow fruit too as well as veg

    I LOVE IT :D
