Hi can someone clarify this for me please, I am thinking of changing some of my vouchers into euro tunnel deals but some of the vouchers have my sisters name on them, I have used them in the passed converted them on my account for days out vouchers and the deals all arrived in my name. Do you think this will happen with the euro tunnel deals?
If someone else has done this with either euro or holidays deals I would be very grateful if you would let me know.

    Thank-you

    Shellyd

I recently ordered a small amount of Virgin Deals vouchers (used my Mums vouchers and mine) and they arrived ok with my name on........BUT I also recently put in a large order for Virgin Deals and Tesco rang me to say I could only use my own Clubcard Vouchers - not my Mums....so I guess they will check your order more closely if it is for a large amount.

i would like to buy this playcentre or something similar

    http://direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=203-5354

my queiry is i have seen something similar slightly cheaper, but with triple points and i was going to put it on tesco credit card as its 0% for 13 months
so how many points would this make cash value wise. (sorry having a slow morning and cant work it out)

    thankyou

please feel free to move this post if its in the wrong section. x

I work it out that you would get £43.47 in Clubcard Vouchers with the triple points promo (or £173.88 in Deals).
I have no idea how many points you would get for using your Tesco Clubcard though, as I don't have one of those.

  • Hello

I am intrested in saving my points to take my little ones to disney paris I have about 1 1/2 years before I take them so should have a good collection

has anyone collected for this trip did you save for the whole holiday or just the eurostar etc where did it get you to stay and how many points did you use for the entire stay (as some hotels dates are different) just looking for advice and a rough points figure and to see how easy this is to save for, (as I have never saved for anything like this before through reward schemes)

also how easy was it to book I like booking in advance ....

thank you and sorry if these sound stupid questions !

    No not at all!!

I haven't booked this type of holiday and paid via Clubcard deals before, but I am pretty sure they're all pretty much the same....

If you are using a package company which offers transport, accomodation, tickets etc you will need to contact their booking office and get a rough price for the holiday (bear in mind that this is likely to be the brochure price without any special offers etc), then what I did was to send off the correct number of Clubcard tokens and had them exchanged for holiday vouchers, then ring up and book the holiday. The holiday company usually requires that they receive holiday vouchers within a couple of days.

So, in a nutshell you will need to have your Clubcard tokens converted to holiday vouchers before you book the holiday.

If you are booking transport, hotel etc separately I'm pretty sure the same will apply. One way to check is to look on the Tesco Clubcard Deals website or in the booklet and look at which code the tokens have. Some tokens you can use for various things (days out, restaurants etc) some, like the holiday vouchers, you can't.

Another thing to bear in mind is that if you change some of your Clubcard tokens for deals and then don't use them, you can phone Clubcard up and have the vouchers voided and the original value put back on your account - we did this when we ordered too many holiday vouchers and had a £50 holiday voucher left!

Hope this makes some sense?? Good luck anyway!!!

I've never used different named vouchers for eurotunnel myself but was told you can. I phoned Eurotunnel & asked them what their policy was & they said they often get different names on the Tesco vouchers & have no problem with this.
If I was you I'd phone yourself & speak to them about it. Another tip is to get an idea of how much the cost will be (easy on internet)& then order your vouchers. Eurotunnel won't give change from the vouchers so you don't want to be sending them a £100 voucher when all you needed was £70. I've just made 2 bookings with them. Good luck & have a good trip.

I'm getting a bit worried about the Virgin Deals vouchers I've ordered. I ordered them exactly a week ago and still haven't received them

It was quite a large order - £685 in Clubcard, so over 2k in Deals (in hindsight I should have done several smaller orders)

I've rang them twice about it and they have said they will chase it up/will be on it's way soon.

Is this normal for a large order?

Hello Zippy:hello: - yes that is quite normal for larger amounts. It took ours two weeks to arrive! Apparently it is because they do security checks on the larger amounts. Don't worry they will arrive shortly!

I was saving for a Eurotunnel trip, too, and on the Tesco Web site when you click on Eurotunnel says the vouchers have to be ordered by X Date (which I think just has or will soon pass) and have to be used to the end of May this year. Does that mean they won't be offering Eurotunnel tickets direct from Tesco anymore? You can still change clubcard points for Airmiles, and buy Eurotunnel tickets on the Airmiles site, but they cost about £20 more there than they do on the Tesco site.

Does anyone have any info on how the name is going to appear on the deal vouchers ?

I know at the moment that some deals have just your surname on them (used hubby's vouchers to pay for my OU course, lol!) but would be very interested to know details of the new format
