It is the most amazing product and I cannot recommend it enough. It is a gel which you can apply either under or over make up. I find it works best applied over the top of my foundation (I use Estee Lauder double wear which is also excellent). A small amount dabbed onto my t-zone in the morning means that my face stays lovely and shine free all day. I have tried all sorts of products over the years including the no.7 one, Smashbox and various blotting papers none of which really worked. Since discovering the Clinique one I cannot be without it. It's not too expensive either (around £11 I think?) and it lasts for ages. Brilliant stuff.
This sounds good, when you apply it over your foundation, does the foundation still stay putt?0 -
Yep, it sure does. You just sort of pat the product on rather than rub it in. I also find that using this you don't need to use powder on top of foundation as it gives you a nice matte finish without the 'cakey' or over made-up look you sometimes get with powder.

that clinique made me break out big time!!
But i use the 1,2,3 step twice a day and i have recently bought a foundation from there and now i don't get the shiny forehead i used to. My skin has never been better.0 -
I've been using the Clinique 3 step for nearly 3 weeks and my skin is definitely improving. I used to have a shiny nose but dryish forehead problem and the forehead thing has gone and shiny nose getting better.0

Do you ever use it under foundation? I'm just wondering why you put it on top. I defo want to try it.0 -
I used that Clinique one but didn't find it was any good. I use the 3 step though and love it.

Have you tried not mositurizing the parts of your face that are oily?
Also, I find shine control paper (Superdrug sells them) really useful.
