I am 16 years old and i was wondering what is the best and cheapest way to invest in shares from a stockbroker also what shares would you recommend

I have a bit because i nvested in shares when they were £3 now £8 but that was through a share save sceme:confused::confused:

Any help would be appreciated

    I thought you had to be 18 before you could invest in shares in your own right? I could be wrong though.

    I'm fairly sure you do, but I think you can go into a sharesave from age 16 because you won't own the shares until 18/19 at the earliest.

    If the previous posters are right about the min 18 age, you could always ask your parents to buy on your behalf.
    I use an online company called Sharecrazy to buy/sell. They were the cheapest a year or so back when I looked into it:
    "ShareCrazy.com Ltd, FSA registered number 215145, are Appointed Representatives for Hoodless Brennan Plc, an established stockbroker. We do not offer investment advice and the ShareCrazy Trader service we provide is administered by Hoodless Brennan Plc..."

    As for what to buy..... if I was a millionaire I wouldn't be on this site. If I knew what to buy, I'd be a millionaire!

    Nobody here is allowed to tip shares afaik. If you click on the link G_M gave that site seems to be all about picking out stocks for private investors , worth a look
