Hi Can anyone offer any advice - I recently opened a store card with a purchase a few weeks later I have received a letter from both the the card company and the store seperately asking me to fill out another application form as my original has been lost- what would you advice me to do - I dont really want to fill out a new one as the original had all my personal details on and I am a bit miffed they have lost it? Where do they stand legally if they have lost the paperwork:D

I am not advising this, nor agree with it but if they have lost your CCA you do not legally have to pay the outstanding balance however morally this is another thingBank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

dont do it, the worst they can do is cancel the card and ask for the money immediately.
u still got the discount so no loss really.0 -
Sounds dubious - how do they have your name and address if they've lost the form? From what I remember when I had a store card, they handed me it there and then!0

If you are going to pay the card ( I assume that you are ) and you want the card fill out an application form but write accross it " I do not authorise you to carry out credit checks / checks to verify my identity " They would have already done this so have no need to double search you.....Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
