I think this is something that happens with leather sofa's, as unless you pay for something from the top end of the market, the leather is of a lower quality & tends to 'give' more.

A lot of leather these days seems to come from China & other Asiatic countries.

You should contact Littlwoods though to see what they have to say.

If in doubt perhaps you could give trading standards a call?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Do you know what type of leather it is made from?

I bought Tesco leather sofa's on BOGOF and after two months the seats went baggy under where people's bottoms had been, and then it started shredding on the front edge of the seat cushions leaving holes. I complained and they sent a technican out who said the seats were made of split leather which isn't hard wearing enough for sofa seat cushions so I rejected them as not fit for purpose.

I've since read up on leather and have ordered new ones elsewhere made from a better quality leather but they did cost more.
Here I go again on my own....

it is standard for leather to sag as its just skin at the end of the day, the amount of use they get they are bound to stretch. ours went like it within 6 months, looked awful although on a good note it hasnt got worse

If it is really bad then give them a ring. If it's a few creases, hey you paid £350 for a leather sofa. Some people pay that for a handbag (I would'nt) so you have to expect a different result than if you had paid £1500 for a buffalo hide hand made one.

she paid £700 for the sofa not £350! if its bogof ok technically shes paid £350 each but the sofa is actually £700 so should be of decent quality.

That's what I thought about the ones I bought from Tesco for just under £700, but see above!

  • Funnily enough I have just ordered a new leather suite, the salesman was telling us about split hides etc and also some of the leather that is coloured has a tendancy to stretch and crease.

The sofa we have bought has pocket springs in it and is guaranteed not to bag or sag but then it was £3k so I flipping hope not.

My mum sent a pine bed back to littlewoods after 10 months as the wood deteriorated, it wasn't a problem. The only thing was that they had to send some packaging out for it to go back in!
