Anyone have any ideas for a family of 4? Just me and my three kids.
Where have you been?

Depends when you want to travel. If it is during term time, you will get much cheaper prices. Cheap holidays during school holidays are virtually non existent. If it is just you and 3 kids, depending on kids ages, you are probably better to have 1 child classed as an adult, that way you should get child reductions. If you are after an apartment, may be cheaper to price you all as adults to avoid under occupancy supplements. Spanish islands are always a good starting point, have to choose your resorts in majorca and Ibiza but Minorca family friendly all over.
Hope this helps a little. Good luck.0 -

How about France, stayed at great campsite/mobile home holiday camp -Croix du Vieux Pont, Berny Rivière east of Paris .
Get crossing yourself via dover and book direct with site should find link via google or tripadviser, also look at canvas holidays etc for ferry/campsite package.
plus points- Great place to stay, great reviews, within travelling distance of Disneyland Paris and Paris itself (drive to station outside Paris leave car and get train in) loads of space, great for children. really nice large site.
Main downside, northern france weather like uk (however last year went to disney really hot day but in southern England poured with rain) have to drive which i find no problem, have to pay for boating lake, little train etc and such a popular site it gets booked up, euro also very strong this year.0 -
Sorry did not realise that no driving, well another great place to stay depending on where you live would be Bournemouth/New Forest.
easy by Train cheaper by coach, lots of campsites some with direct bus routes to Bournemouth/Poole, Isle of Purbeck(sandbanks).
great beaches ,loads to do in evenings Bournemouth/Poole july/august.
Poole quay Tuesday night motorbike night great atmosphere even if not into bikes. Friday - fireworks/music etc along quay(other things also on cant remember them)Bournmouth has entertaiment in lower gardens music, hot air balloons 4 day free air festival over the beach which was fantastic last year. festival of light (lighting candle pots in lower gardens) usual beach activities, crazy golf etc and loads of other things) Sandbanks nearby has the most fantasic beaches, Swanage old seaside town via corfe castle and ferry stop on route vist knoll beach another great beach with fantastic views.
Rockly park near Poole great watersports centre, Tower Park Poole has loads of places to eat, cinemas, bowling and splashdown water slides place.
Kings park near Bournemouth has giant Funfare every August.
All places mentioned above are accessible via local buses from Bournemouth or Poole.
Hotels and B&B can be expensive but campsites/mobile home generally cheaper and include swimming Pool/entertainment, however they are out of town approx 5-10 miles away.0 -

So £60 travel and £266 accommodation (you could prob get away with 1 family room though if you all squished!). Plenty to do for older and younger ones.Cogito ergo sum. Google it you lazy sod !!0
