Hi, I originally posted this on the Credit card board but this one may be more appropriate.
Two weeks ago I ordered some Wightlink Ferry Tickets to use in May. I saw on their website that I could use Tesco club card vouchers to pay for the ticket I wanted.
I rang them up to order the tickets. They tried to sell me another type of ticket that was cheaper, but could not use the vouchers for. I pressed on and said that I wanted the particular type of ticket (saver return @ £45). They processed the order for 2 tickets (I was also booking for some friends) the price they gave was higher than the vouchers covered (I expected this) but was higher than I was expecting. When queried I was told that the additional passengers increased the price to £120
I paid the remainder of the balance on my CC (£40). Later on I went back and checked the website. The information for the ticket I chose said it included up to passengers which covered the amount of people that were traveling.
I contacted them by email asking why I had been charged extra. To cut a long story short I was told that the ticket I wanted was no longer for sale and they had forgotten to change the page. I mentioned that when on the phone I asked for that specific fare and if I could use vouchers and was told I could.
Eventually I was told that they would honour the outdated price quoted on their site, and I would be refunded the difference (£30) when they received the vouchers (£80). I sent off the vouchers via special delivery as they are covered for £500.
That was 2 weeks ago. I have contacted them several times asking when the refund will be given, and they finally got back to me today.
They told me

You were not charged the full amount on your bookings. You sent in £50 in Tesco vouchers which was split between the 2 bookings £30.00 on one and £20.00 on the other and the balance from your credit card, £15.00 on one and £25.00 on the other. Which give you a total of £90.00 paid £45.00 for each booking. If you check with your bank statement you will see that you only paid £40.00 with you card.
They are claiming I only sent in £50 of vouchers which is impossible as it was 2 x £40.
My question is, is there a way to force them / claim back the £30 either from them or through my CC Provider without risking losing my ticket.

I guess you didn't photocopy the vouchers before you sent them off by chance did you? This will prove that you must have sent them £80 worth of vouchers.
Alternatively if you ordered them via the tesco website there should be a record of your order which will prove that you actually sent £80 worht of vouchers which will be the starting point in getting a refund.2014 Target;

No I didnt copy them, but I plan to now in the furture. I have contacted Tesco's and they agreed the ammount that they sent to me, but say that they havent been cashed in by the company. They told me they will contact the company directly but this wont be until Tuesday so I will have to wait till then.0

If you ordered the vouchers over the internet you can see your past clubcard orders - this will provide the proof that you ordered the amount of vouchers you say you supplied.2014 Target;
