help putting tunes onto my mp3 player

Hi all!! Can anyone help me??

You don't say what make & model of mp3 player you have (if you don't have an ipod why use itunes?)
You say you have 'burned some cds on to my I tunes play list' but there's no 'burning' involved in what you want to do.
Converting a music CD to mp3 files is called 'Ripping' and you then just copy or 'synch' those mp3 files to your mp3 player.
Burning is the process of writing files (music, video, data files etc) on to a CD or DVD.

What sort of files did you create? MP3s, WAVs, CDA?
    If they're mp3s you're half way there.

If you have Windows Media Player 11 you can 'rip' the CDs to mp3 files on your hard drive then 'sync' to your mp3 player or most mp3 players will allow you to copy (or 'drag and drop') the files across using Windows Explorer.

When you copied them to Itunes it saved them to a folder on your hard drive which can can be found on Itunes edit>preferences>advanced tab.
switch to windows explorer and drag the files u want onto your mp3 player from this location.

open itunes > insert the cd & wait for itunes to detect it > click import in one of the bottom corners & wait until done > plug ipod in and click the link for it in itunes > click sync.

should be similar to that :)

My guess is that you're importing them at iTunes' default settings, which produces AAC files, and your mp3 player can't play them.

iTunes uses it's default AAC encoder instead of MP3 for the file format. Go to Edit-preferences and on that page click on import settings and change it to MP3. Now when you rip music it will be as an MP3 which can be used on any MP3 player. Now when you copy it it will work. AAC is only compatible with Apple & iPod's!

This is a good thing to change from the start so if you ever change your MP3 player from an iPod to something else then you don't have to re-rip all your CD's.

    Hope this helps.

Lots of devices can play AAC files, not just iPods.

The OP's doesn't seem to be one of them however.
