999 in Spain. What do you dial in Spain?

Can you help?

Isn't there an international number that you can dial in any country that will get you to emergency services? What is the Spanidsh 999 phone number? Is the Spainish number 112?

Going on there for holiday tonight

Hi There, When I lived in Spain the Police emergency number was 091 and I don't think this has changed.

I heard last night that if you dial 112 on a mobile phone, it will roam to the nearest provider, so it works if you are out of range of your own cell. Also, the emergency service can locate the phones position, and relay it to the ambulance, or whatever, for input in their GPS gear.

    Reassuring or what? (!!!)
