Sky Digibox goes to standby!!

Hi Folks,
Over the past few months we have noticed our sky digibox goes into standby mode all on its own periodically for no apparent reason. I thought it was just our box, but my daughter tells us that theirs is doing the same.
Does anyone know if this is something that is being done by sky themselves, or is it a coinsidence that both are boxes are going 'pear-shaped' at the same time. ...we live 17 miles apart!!
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Jackie ;)

From Sky's How does Auto-Standby work?

Most Sky boxes will have an Auto-Standby feature and put themselves to sleep when they are not in use. If your Sky box has this facility and you have left it turned on, but not used it (that is, you haven’t pressed any buttons ... for a period of four hours during the day and for a period of two hours after 11pm, you will see the "Auto Standby" warning on your TV screen for three minutes.

All Sky functions, such as scheduled recording on Sky+ and Sky HD+ and Anytime downloads, still operate with auto-standby.If you’re watching TV and don’t want your box to go into standby, press back up and you can continue viewing without interruption.
If you don’t respond (perhaps because you’re not watching TV or have fallen asleep), your Sky box will automatically go into Standby mode.

If you wish to disable Auto Standby for any reason:
    1. Press services on your Sky remote control.
    2. If you’re using a Sky+ or Sky+HD box, highlight Sky+ Setup and press select. If you’re using a standard digibox, continue to step 3.
    3. Highlight Auto Standby and set it to OFF using the left/right arrows.
    4. Highlight Save New Settings and press select.
    5. Press Sky to return to normal viewing.

... whilst in standby your box can record up to two programmes at the same time.
