I thought I'd share this with anybody who is frustrated by the Linpus Linux OS on the Acer Aspire One (or any Linux distro on any netbook). EasyPeasy is a distribution of the Ubuntu Netbook Remix. I'm using it right now and it is so much better. It used to be EEE-Ubuntu but has been re-named EasyPeasy as it will run on all netbooks.
It can be downloaded for free from http://www.geteasypeasy.com/

Easypeasy is based on Ubuntu 8.10. I am currently using Crunchee which has similar underpinnings. Networkmanager 0.7 just finds my wifi and also my vodaphone 3g modem and just works0

It's worth having a look at the Ubuntu Netbook Remix (http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-netbook) it's based on Ubuntu 9.04 so it's the most up to date version and is excellent. I have a 2G Surf and run it from flash memory and think it's great.0

For Eee PC users in particular, there's also Eeebuntu to consider.0
