Hi
I'm looking for some giveaways for the openings of my pregnancy & baby shop in 10 days' time. Any ideas? I don't want to spend more than £100 absolute maximum & will need 100 - 150.
Thanks!

Just want to check, are you looking for "100-150 things" costing no more than £100 in total?
If so, you are looking at something that costs less than a £1 - just wondered what you might imagine you could give away that would cost less than £1. A pen, maybe? (Hasn't that been done before?).
Wonder what you think this might gain? Might something else be better?
Do you want to share your plans here as we might have some other ideas for you.
What plans do you have for the opening?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

If you haven't already you could get some leaflets made up. Info on what you do, could possibly include a discount code or '£X' of with this flyer. Gets your name out there and people coming back to you?
Other than that, pens, keyrings, fridge magnet, car/window sticker?
Just a few thoughts!0 -
how about getting a postcard printed, include useful numbers for mums to be, then maybe on the reverse have a grid. get some printed stickers for your shop and offer 1 sticker for x spend, when card full give them an £ discount. im doing it for my taxi business, 1 sticker for every job, grid of 16 full ='s a free local job to the value of £3.50. equates to app 10% discount.
TBH, giving something to thevalue of a £ is not very appealing.Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007

Free pens, keyrings etc end up going straight into the bin and never have any effect on me. I think you'd be wasting your money going down the freebie route and would be better off offering some sort of discount using a flyer which would actually give people a reason to come back.0

Bulk buying you may be able to get hold of a little toy which would be great for the new baby. Make sure it is suitable from birth though.0

If you google promotional items there are lots of sites that do giveaways that you could find something suitable for.The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

Branded Chocolates, can come in a variety of different styles, business cards, mini bars, mints etc etc.
Use them myself all the time very cost effective and a bit unusual.
Unfortunately website is currently being redevloped so you cant see product but I recommend highly.0 -
Hi,
Maybe you can get some sample sachets from companies such as Lansinoh/advent/sudocrem and give them away with a loyalty card for your shop?
I'm a new mum and was given similar when I was pregnant and they came in very useful. It is also good advertising for those companies who may donate them to you! (very much like the Bounty bags new mums get)
Good luck with your new venture!0 -
Hi, we got small plain fairy cakes from Asda (12 for about 48p!) Iced with plain white icing and added our logo/name using those small tubes of coloured icing. We wrapped in cellophane and tied with our colour of thin gift wrap ribbon.
Cheap and cheerful.
