Delayed Flight Refund?

I recently made a European flight which was delayed by over 5 hours due to a technical fault with the aeroplane - they eventually rented a replacement. I claimed the cost of the flight (£30) back as I understood that i was entitled to that under EU legislation.

I have just got a letter from them offering a £30 reduction on my next flight with them. They say that the cash refund only applies if there is a 5hour+ delay and you decide to abandon the flight altogether.

Should I accept the voucher or fight on?

Take the voucher. You took the flight so no refund due. You should have got refreshments and meal also

Thanks for the advice. Yes budgetflyer I got an 8 Euro voucher for refreshments. I'll claim my voucher.
