Old clothes for charity?

As I am moving home, I want to get rid of old clothes [in good condition]

What is the best way/place to give them to?

Unless you have strong views about specific charities - donate to the most convenient charity shop, or use the clothes banks often found in supermarket car-parks or recycle centres.
If possible separate out the clothes that are as new from those showing any signs of wear.
If you have any designer label or retro items in good condition then take them to one of the bigger charity shops.

I urge everyone to even donate (but bagged seperately) clothes which are not in a condition fit enough for sale. All charity shops have textile recyclers who purchase rags (unsuitable clothing items) from the shop, so the shop and thus the charity can still make use and cash from old tatty clothes.
