I had a new piece of glass put in my bedroom window it's double glazing there was a crack in it, today i was sent a bill for £179.00 i think it's very expensive for one piece of glass that took the guy 10 min's to fit, does anyone know if this is this a fair price

If it's a farly standard sort of size, the glass probably cost a maximum of £30 and fitting should be a max of £50.
£179 sounds way over the top0 -
The glass is 19 x 26
The council insist i must pay the £179 asap not sure what to do

Well the DG Unit will cost around £20 - £25 and even if it took two hours to pick it up and fit its still very overpriced! Well, unless they charge £80 an hour. The glass is 19 x 26

It should be no more than £100 max.In wood we trust.0 -
