  • sounds good sturll - have you any more details? Is this offer to entice a long tie to contract?

All it says is 'sign up to BT for an 18month contract and we'll waive any connection fee' with a foot note stating the max amount being £122.50

The offer is for new customers moving from Virgin Media. No need to take broadband. 18 month contract and your probaly have to agree to place 10 calls a month through BT.

I had it sent to me through the post and have never been a Virgin Media subscriber?

I just phoned them and quoted the phrase mentioned (they did ask for it!). I'm a Virgin customer but I'm out of contract. It's quite correct that they will waive any connection fee....which would be good news for some people. I was offered free calls for evenings as well as weekends (and all of the other stuff) on a 12 month contract. I think I'll probably stay with Virgin but it was interesting anyway.

Lucky You ! :D I rang them earlier and they clearly stated that the offer was for VM Customers moving to them.

Its worth bearing in mind that if you have a BT Master Socket, and all the wiring is in place between your premises and the exchange, your normally get free connection anyway on a 12 month contract, with free evening and weekends calls if you agree to a 12 month rolling call contract.
