Sony centre Derby, Westfield. Outstanding service!!

This is something that i would normally not do, but since my visit to the Sony centre in Westfield Derby I thought I would share my visit with you all.
It was my first time to the westfield shopping centre since it open back in 2007. To my surprise I saw the sony centre which was a god send so that my wife and daughter could roam around their many clothes shop with out me dragging at their heals.:D
On entering the store I was immediately spotted by the sales staff, so I thought hear we go I'm going to get bombarded by the same old sales rant and my guard went straight up.
How wrong was I!
It was the first time I ever felt like a human being and not just a walking wallet. ( for example walking into a mobile phone shop ).
The staff members I talked to were extremely pleasant and rather then them telling me want I wanted they actually listened to what I needed.
They had a cracking deal on a Sony 37" Bravia that they told me just be dropped in price and I was so tempted to buy it until the lady that holds the purse strings ( The Wife ) spotted me. Seeing that my other half had laid down the law with me
the sale person gave me all the details that I needed with there store number on so I could ring them up and ask any more questions.
The reason that I'm writing this is because I felt bad for the sales person that I've spent over 20 minutes of there time without making a purchase. But they gave me reassurance that their is still shops out there that take customer service seriously and not just about getting my wallet out of my trouser pocket.
On the Plus side my wife has given me the go ahead to go back and buy the TV at the weekend.
Right I'm off now to write an letter to Sony UK so they can pass on my praise to the store.

A new member posting praise to a company that has a thread on MSE complaining about the customer service....how unusual.
I do hope you are genuine Taylor.1965 and if so welcome to MSE, I hope you enjoy MSE, if you are a plant from Sony Centre then its against the rules and now days the UK Laws.
I hope its nothing to do with the complaint about them on MSE coming up quite high when you google "Sony Centre Derby"...
To balance the post here is a link for the complaint http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=14825910 -
Thanks for the welcome.
I did see the post about the other person bad response to the Sony Centre, that is one of the reasons that I did this, to show that I felt that my individual experience was second to none with the store. I wish I did work there as I probably could get the TV cheaper.0 -
So you went in to a shop and had a look at what was on offer. The staff did their jobs and helped you and answered your questions and you reckon this is "Outstanding Service"?
Gosh, you are easily pleased....
Not surprised though if you need a written permission from the Mrs to buy a TV....0 -

You haven't met my Wife.
Especially when a few weeks ago I got bored and spent over £400 on a new barbecue.0
