Car leasing questions

; is it all down to residual values and discounts that the manufacturers offer?
No it's all down to which manufacturer wants to shift the stock and the discount they are giving the lease companies.0 -
Porsche give very little discount. The Boxster has been cheaper than it is today, but only due to a stronger residual, not directly linked to discount.
BMW do give discount, but their discount structure is classed as "agency" which is where the industry as a whole receives a standard discount, and the Manufacturer prevents the dealerships from offering discount over and above, even for commitment to volume. Audi and Mercedes do not currently work on this basis.
Mercedes have a lot of stock and are giving high discounts off physical stock ( still brand new and unregistered, but physical ). Audi on the other hand, are offering very good discounts, but most of the Audi range will be factory build, with the exception of perhaps A4 ( A3, TT Coupe, A5, new A6, Q5 and Q7 all becoming difficult to locate from stock ).
The Audi A5 will start from around £300 and if you put a larger up front deposit i.e. 6 payments rather than the minimum of 3, you will receive a payment as low as £270ish. The SPORT is £329.99 with Audi giving free bluetooth and cruise at the moment and the S-Line is £339.99. With 6 payments, the SPORT would be sub £300 and the S-Line wouldn't be too far off either.

Hi Kelly
Probably going to go for the TT 2.0 Roadster, as opposed to the BMW. Can't really see any benefit in paying an extra £100 a month just for a BMW when the TT will be fine @ around £320/m inc VAT.
Will let you all know how I get on when I contact them on Tuesday."The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -

Do it for me! That would have been my choice, hands down if I didn't have kids. Value for money it's my top deal on contract hire - mercedes is cheap of late but doesn't do it for me at all. I've checked three times that the kids wouldn't fit in the TT coupe.
We missed the A4 cab deal - H wouldn't grasp what a great deal it was and then the A5 was over budget for my wanting and too big to be honest and H was pushing for it although it's to be my car so I resisted. I would recommend gateway2lease as I have compared deals for months and they kept coming up as being cheap and actually H spoke to kelly several times and she was knowledgeable!
I ordered my MINI Cooper S Clubman last week. Suits me down to the ground and I got a very fair deal on trade in (I love my car, just a bit too small now) and a great price on a slightly used car.
Would have had kelly's A4 cabriolet deal if I could have persuaded H at the time
Was gutted honestly that he didn't go for it - everything kept being compared back to it once he realised. Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
