Reclaiming mis-sold furniture insurance?

Rather than PPI, I have been mis-sold a 5-year anti-stain insurance on my sofa, by DFS. I believed it would be valid for cleaning any imperfection on the sofa - but it only covers one stain, if reported within 10 days of it happening.

Basically I have paid over a hundred pounds for the same cover that my home insurance provides - the salesperson gave me literally 2 minutes to check the paperwork before making me sign it, and as I felt pressured and believed the cover to be more useful, I stupidly agreed.

Has anyone had a similar experience and recalimed on this kind of insurance policy?

If you were not mis-informed then no, you should take time to read contracts. They are legally binding and really should not be rushed. Lesson learnt

That does seem a lot for one stain. Have you thought of contacting trading standards about the policy being unfair maybe??

Should not be a problem. I signed up for the stain protection only to read when i got back home its generally not work the paper its written on, sooooo many clauses.

There is a 30 day period which you can cancel it (its on the back in small print) i went back into the store and ok after a 5 minute "chat" on im doing the wrong thing they removed it, had to re-do the credit form but not big hassle
